Petals and Moss started with a simple belief: that every space in Des Moines deserves to feel a little more alive. What began as a passion for collecting rare foliage grew into a storefront on East Grand Avenue — a place where plant newbies and seasoned collectors both feel welcome.

We source our plants from trusted nurseries and propagate many of our own. Every plant that walks through our door is inspected for health before it reaches your shelf. And if you ever need help figuring out why your peace lily is giving up on life, we're here for that too.
